Tips: Om du ynskjer å endre ikonet for µRemote, kan du ganske enkelt erstatte uRemote.exe.ico som du finner i samme mappe som uRemote.exe. Eg er ikkje so flink til å lage gode ikoner :)

What is µRemote?

µRemote is a program that you can use to remote control your µTorrent installation on another computer. This can be µTorrent on a home computer from work, another computer in your network, a seedbox etc. In other words you don't have to install µTorrent on all the computers you are using and can organize your downloads on one computer.

What do I need to run µRemote?

To be able to use µRemote you need to have:

• µTorrent installed on the computer you want to control, you also need to have WebUI activated.


• On the computer you want to install µRemote you also need to have .Net Framework v2 (this is already installed on Windows Vista).
• Download Microsoft .NET Framework versjon 2.0 (x86)
  

How do I setup WebUI?

WebUI is a add-on for µTorrent that gives you the possibility to remote control your µTorrent installation using your browser.
From µTorrent v1.8 it is also installed with the program, you shod still look for the latest version on the WebUI part of the forum.


When you download WebUI you can either:

• Download it directly to the %Appdata%\uTorrent folder.


• Download the file to a temporary folder and copy it to the %Appdata%\uTorrent folder afterwards. To open the folder you can click the Windows button + R on your keyboard, type in %Appdata% click Enter and go to the uTorrent folder and paste the webui.zip file.
  

WebUI.zip shod be in the same folder as SETTINGS.DAT, you shod also not unzip (unpack) the zip file.
Control that you save it as webui.zip and not as something like WebUI.1220503364.zip (timestamp/all the numbers shod not be included in the filename)

Then you are set and you can activate WebUI in µTorrent.

• Start µTorrent and go to the options -> Preferences (or click CTRL + P on your keyboard)
  
  
  




• Go to Web UI in the list, type in your choice of username and password (you would need this when you're setting up µRemote later.)
  
  
  


• It can be idea to set up a alternative listening port (here set to 2648), if you don't want to use the µTorrent connection port.

You have now completed setting up Web UI and shod be able to connect to it in your web browser using http://YourIP:Port/gui/ example: http://192.168.1.12:2648/gui/
Mark that YourIP here refers to the IP of the computer that got µTorrent installed.



Only thing left then is setting up µRemote

Setting up µRemote is a pretty simple process. The first time you start up µRemote you will get asked for the needed information. If you already have started µRemote you can find the setup by clicking Options -> Preferences, ore simply click CTRL+P on your keyboard. You shod then get up the following window:



Her you shod enter the username, password and IP address to the computer running µTorrent, port (then the port µTorrent use ore the one you put up as a alternative in the WebUI setup earlier).
When you done this the only thing left now is to click Save and start using the program.

Kva er µRemote?

µRemote er et program du kan bruke for å fjernstyre din µTorrent installasjon på ein annan PC. Dette kan være seg µTorrent på heimepcen frå arbeid, eller ein annen pc i dit heimenettverk etc. Du slipp dermed å ha µTorrent installert på alle Pc-ane, og kan bruke ein PC som nedlastingservar.

Kva treng eg for å kunne bruke µRemote?

For at du skal kunne benytte µRemote må du ha:

• µTorrent installert på Pc-en du vil kontrollere, du må også ha aktivert WebUI/Vev-UI


• På PC-en du skal bruke µRemote må du også ha installert .Net Framework v2 (dette er allereie installer på Windows Vista).
• Last ned Microsoft .NET Framework versjon 2.0 (x86)
  
• Last ned Norsk (bokmål) språkpakke for .NET Framework versjon 2.0 (x86)

Korleis sette opp WebUI/Vev-UI?

WebUI/Vev-UI er eit tillegg til µTorrent som gir deg moglegheita til å styre µTorrent installasjonen din via nettlesaren din.
Frå µTorrent v1.8 er den også installert saman med programmet, du bør dog lasta ned siste versjon som du kan finne på WebUI/Vev-UI delen av forumet.


Når du laster ned WebUI/Vev-UI kan du enten:

• Lasta den direkte ned til %Appdata%\uTorrent foldaren.


• Lasta ned fila til ei midlertidig mappe og kopiere den til %Appdata%\uTorrent mappa etterpå. Du kan da klikke Windowsknappen + R på tastaturet ditt, skriv inn %Appdata% klikk Enter og gå til uTorrent mappa for å lime inn webui.zip fila.
  

WebUI.zip skal ligger i same mappa som SETTINGS.DAT, du skal heller ikkje pakke ut zip filen.
Pass på at du lagrar den som webui.zip og ikkje noko ala WebUI.1220503364.zip (timestamp: alle tallene, skal ikkje være med)

Du er nå klar til å aktivere WebUI/Vev-UI i µTorrent.

• Start opp µTorrent og gå til Instillingar -> Instillingar (eller trykk CTRL + P på tastaturet)
  
  
  




• Gå til Vevgrensesnitt i lista og skriv in brukarnamn og passord som du ynskjer bruker (du vil trenge dette når du skal sette opp µRemote seinare.)
  
  
  


• Det kan også være greitt å sette opp ein alternativ lytteport (her satt til 2648), om du ikkje vil bruke same porten som µTorrent bruker elles.

Du har nå satt opp WebUI/Vev-UI og skal kunne koble deg til ved å bruke http://DinIP:Port/gui/ t.d.: http://192.168.1.12:2648/gui/
Merk at DinIP her refererar til pc-en som har µTorrent installert.



Da er det bare igjen å sette opp µRemote

Å sette opp µRemote er ein enkel prosess. Første gangen du startar µRemote vil du bli spord etter nødvendig informasjon. Om du allereie har starta µRemote kan du finne igjen ved å klikke på Valg -> Instillingar, eller CTRL+P på tastaturet. Du vil da få opp følgjande vindauge:



Du skal her da skrive inn brukarnamn, passord, IP adressa til pc-en som køyrer uTorrent, port (da enten porten som uTorrent brukar eller den du sat opp som alternativ i WebUI/Vev-UI oppsettet over).
Når du har gjort dette er det berre å klikke Lagre, og begynner å bruker programmet.

Endlich - eine neue Version von µRemote!

Hier gibts die neue µRemote-Version! Diese Version wurde von Grund auf erneuert um ein schlankes Erscheinungsbild zu wahren.

µRemote benötigt .Net Framework 2.0.

Einige Merkmale:

• verschiedene Sprachversionen: Englisch, Spanisch, Norwegisch (Nynorsk + Bokmål) und natürlich auch auf Deutsch.
• einheitliche Oberfläche (ähnlich dem Erscheinungsbild von µTorrent)
• Dropbox (bekannt vom "Free Download Manager"): "drag and drop" für die automatisierte Verarbeitung von .torrent-Dateien.
• Geschwindigkeitsanzeige: visualisiert als schwebender Balken der die gesamte upload/download Geschwindigkeit anzeigt.
  

Neu hinzugekommen:

• Verschlüsselung von Benutzername und Passwort
• Anpassen der Werkzeugleiste: Text & Bilder, nur Text oder nur Bilder
• Verkleinern auf die Systemablage
  
• Neues Benachrichtigungsfenster (ersetzt die "Balloon tips")
• verbesserte Spaltenhandhabung
  
• abgespeicherte Sortierreihenfolge
  
• zeigt globale upload / download Geschwindigkeit
  
• Spalten verstecken
• Hinzufügen eines .torrent über die URL
